New advance in solar energy in Senegal
Entech, in partnership with Voltalia, has signed an EPC contract with Axian Energy for the construction of a 60 MW photovoltaic power plant in Casamance, Senegal. Accompanied by a 90 MWh storage system, this project marks a significant step forward for renewable energy in West Africa. It will be the first solar power plant in the region to include a battery storage system.
The plant aims to improve grid stability and increase the share of solar electricity in the country, contributing to the target of 40% renewable energy by 2030. It is expected to be commissioned in 2026.
