Eurobattery Minerals' FinnCobalt and ABB Collaborate on Sustainable Mining Solutions

Eurobattery Minerals AB, a Swedish mining firm, has announced a new collaboration between its subsidiary FinnCobalt Oy and ABB Oy. This partnership aims to advance sustainable mining through cutting-edge technologies in electrification, instrumentation, automation, and digitalization (EIAD).

The parties have signed a Letter of Intent to establish an engineering and delivery framework to enhance mining operations. This initiative focuses on improving operational efficiency, safety, and environmental impact in the sector.

ABB will conduct a pre-study and technological assessment in key EIAD domains, including network calculations and database development for mining applications. The collaboration aspires to establish new standards for responsible mining practices worldwide.

With this partnership, both companies aim to showcase the benefits of integrating advanced EIAD solutions in mining, aligning operational profitability with sustainability.
