Hautalampi Project Zoning Advances in Outokumpu

Eurobattery Minerals AB announces significant progress in the zoning process for its Hautalampi battery mineral project in Outokumpu, Finland. A detailed zoning plan by the City of Outokumpu has passed several procedural stages, including public consultation, and has now reached the City Council for final approval. This zoning acceptance will grant the necessary building permits and indicates robust local support.

The Hautalampi project, operated by Eurobattery’s subsidiary FinnCobalt Oy, covers 309 hectares, aligning with Finland's updated Mining Act. The City's backing is evident, marking a positive step for both local economic development and sustainable mining practices.

Ilari Kinnunen, Managing Director of FinnCobalt, highlights that the zoning proposal reflects transparency and structure, supporting future mining operations under new regulations. The project ties into Outokumpu's longstanding mining heritage, seen as vital by local officials.
