Eurofins Secures €500 Million Schuldschein Loan for Refinancing
On June 26, 2025, Eurofins Scientific announced the successful issuance of a new €500 million Schuldschein loan. The loan, which offers a blended interest rate of 3.80%, is structured across 5, 7, and 10-year maturities. A substantial portion, 66%, is allocated to the 7 and 10-year tranches, reflecting strong market demand, with an order book exceeding 1.6 times the issuance size.
This financial move aims primarily to refinance €234 million in Schuldschein loans maturing in July and October 2025. The remaining funds will be directed towards general corporate purposes. This issuance, along with a €400 million hybrid bond issued in April 2025, solidifies Eurofins' balance sheet by addressing all 2025 debt obligations.
Acting as joint arrangers for the transaction were BayernLB and UniCredit, with Sabadell as a passive arranger. UniCredit also served as the loan agent.
