FAMAR Group Enters Agreement with GE HealthCare

FAMAR Group, a prominent European pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), has announced a contract with GE HealthCare. The agreement involves filling and finishing vials of GE HealthCare's iodine-based contrast media at FAMAR's newly acquired facility in Homburg, Germany. This collaboration is set to commence commercial supply in 2028.

The Homburg site aims to deliver up to 25 million patient doses annually into GE HealthCare's network by 2031. This will help GE HealthCare boost its manufacturing capacity for European customers of contrast media used in medical imaging techniques.

This development reinforces FAMAR's commitment to becoming a center of excellence for sterile supply, following its acquisition of the Homburg site from MiP Pharma in 2025. The site represents a strategic expansion in FAMAR's capabilities, enhancing its aseptic and lyophilized fill and finish services.
