FIGEAC AÉRO to Contribute to Leclerc Tank Upgrade
FIGEAC AÉRO has been selected to produce parts for the upgrade of France’s Leclerc battle tank. Through its subsidiary, Mécabrive Industries, the company will supply aluminum parts crucial to the tank’s optronic and navigation systems. This selection marks a significant step for FIGEAC AÉRO in the defense sector, complementing its existing aerospace projects.
The five-year contract is aligned with France’s strategic defense initiatives aiming at modernizing military capabilities amid growing geopolitical challenges. The defense segment is becoming increasingly pivotal in Europe, reflected by rising investments, which totalled $900 billion in 2025, a 14% increase from 2024.
FIGEAC AÉRO is poised to solidify its presence in this market by expanding its production capacity for defense-related activities. The company views these initiatives as critical to its growth trajectory within the industry.
