FITUR 2026 Confirms Its Role in Global Tourism
FITUR 2026 has reaffirmed its position as a significant contributor to Madrid's economy, generating an impact of €505 million and drawing over 255,000 attendees. Organized by IFEMA MADRID, this year's edition marked an increase in international participation with a 12% rise in international visitors and an 11% growth in exhibitors.
During the event, over 10,000 companies from 161 countries participated, reinforcing FITUR's global significance as a forum for dialogue and cooperation in the tourism sector. FITUR's specialized sections, including FITUR 4all and FITUR Experience, highlighted the fair's commitment to accessible and diverse tourism offerings.
The event was officially inaugurated by the King and Queen of Spain, demonstrating its institutional importance. As FITUR 2026 concludes, preparations for the 2027 edition, featuring Puerto Rico as the Partner Country, are already underway.
