FORTEC Elektronik AG Faces Challenging Nine Months in 2024/2025
FORTEC Elektronik AG reported a decrease in group sales for the first nine months of the 2024/2025 financial year, attributed to challenging macroeconomic conditions and customer reluctance to invest. Sales fell by 17% to EUR 57.9 million compared to the previous year. The ongoing recession in Germany and geopolitical tensions impacted orders and increased supply chain uncertainty.
EBIT stood at EUR 1.4 million, significantly lower than last year's EUR 5.7 million. The order backlog slightly decreased to EUR 52.1 million by March 2025 but saw recovery in April. CEO Sandra Maile noted positive developments in the fourth quarter, with increased demand in defence projects aiming to strengthen their market position despite current challenges.
