Friedrich Vorwerk Secures Major Contract for Pipeline Project
Friedrich Vorwerk Group SE has been awarded a significant contract for the construction of the ETL 182 energy transmission pipeline. This project, awarded by Gasunie Deutschland, involves a consortium with an order value in the mid three-digit million Euro range. The pipeline will cover 86 km and is part of a joint venture with the Austrian HABAU Group.
The ETL 182 aims to manage the rising demand for gas transport driven by new LNG import terminals. It will link the "Elbe Süd" and "Achim" network points, enhancing Germany's natural gas transmission network. Preparatory work is planned for late 2025, with main construction in 2026 and commissioning by 2027.
Germany's LNG Acceleration Act emphasizes the importance of this project for energy security. Due to its expertise in pipeline construction, Friedrich Vorwerk anticipates ongoing demand in this sector.
