Funding Circle Plc Reports Strong Growth in 2024
Funding Circle Plc announced its full-year 2024 results, showing a transformative year with significant profit growth. Revenue increased by 23% to £160 million, supported by strong SME demand and the expansion of Term Loans and FlexiPay products, leading to a profit before tax of £3.4 million, surpassing market expectations.
The company achieved a 47% growth in credit extensions, reaching £1.9 billion, primarily driven by a 33% increase in UK Term Loan originations. FlexiPay transactions more than doubled, contributing notably to revenue growth.
Despite exceptional items of £2.6 million due to business simplification efforts, Funding Circle maintains a healthy cash position and continues to expand its product offerings with initiatives like the Cashback credit card and reporting promising uptake.
Looking forward, Funding Circle aims to achieve over £200 million in revenue with PBT margins exceeding 15% by 2026, focusing on customer-led profitable growth strategies and strengthening its role in supporting small businesses.
