Funding Circle Solidifies Position with Ninth UK Securitisation

Funding Circle, a leading SME finance platform in the UK, has announced its ninth public securitisation, SBOLT 2025-1. This initiative demonstrates strong investor confidence, with loans contributed by Waterfall Asset Management. The transaction brings the total securitised issuance to approximately £2.17 billion.

This latest securitisation further cements Funding Circle's status as the largest public issuer of SME Asset-Backed Securities in the UK and Europe over the last decade. The market response underscores investor trust in SME loan quality amid economic volatility. BNP Paribas and Citi played key roles in the arrangement and management of the transaction.

Dipesh Mehta, Chief Capital Officer, highlighted the successful partnership with Waterfall Asset Management and emphasised the market's appetite for SME credit. Despite challenging conditions, the positive reception indicates continued interest, aiding SMEs' growth through accessible finance.
