Getlink Secures €55 Million in Insurance Compensation for Eleclink Interruption
Getlink has finalized a deal with its insurers to receive €55 million as compensation for Eleclink's operating losses. The losses occurred due to a suspension of activities from 25 September 2024 to 5 February 2025. Out of the total amount, €5 million was previously recorded in the first half of 2025.
This compensation will be reflected in Getlink's consolidated financial statements for 2025. The company's EBITDA guidance for 2025 anticipated an initial indemnity of €15 million, pending further evaluation by experts and insurers. The agreement provides a significant boost to Getlink's financial framework and aligns with their earlier forecasts.
