Gitex Global Expands to Southeastern Europe with Belgrade Hosting in 2027

Gitex Global, the world's largest technology fair, has announced Belgrade, Serbia, as the host of its upcoming event "Gitex AI Serbia." Scheduled for 2027 during "Expo 2027," this marks Gitex's inaugural event in Southeastern Europe. The announcement was made at the 45th Gitex Global fair in Dubai, positioning Serbia as a significant hub for innovation and new technologies in the region.

Gitex CEO Trixie LohMirmand highlighted Serbia's role as a dynamic bridge between East and West. Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the country's reform in education and IT growth, with exports reaching $5 billion annually. He invited global participants to join Belgrade in 2027 to explore regional technological advancements.

Danilo Jerinić, director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, noted Gitex's potential impact on the regional economy, connecting investors with startups and industry leaders. Gitex AI Serbia will serve as an international platform fostering digital transformation.
