GL Events to Install Temporary Structures for COP17 in Mongolia
GL Events, a key player in event industry services, has been chosen by the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar to install temporary infrastructures for COP17. This conference, under the auspices of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, is scheduled for August 2026 in Mongolia. It will gather around 10,000 delegates from over 190 countries.
The decision, following an international tender and a comprehensive selection process, reflects Mongolia's trust in GL Events’ capabilities. The company will install approximately 44,500 sqm of temporary structures to support the 197 invited nations.
GL Events’ Chairman-CEO, Olivier Ginon, expresses gratitude to the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar, emphasizing the group's proficiency in handling major global events since their involvement in 11 COP meetings from 2011 to 2024.
