Grande Portage Advances Technical and Permitting Efforts for New Amalga Gold Project

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. has announced significant progress in technical and permitting activities for its New Amalga Gold Project in Southeast Alaska. The company has obtained a five-year Fish Habitat Permit to install a stream monitoring system, crucial for future environmental assessments. Concurrently, SRK Consulting has completed an initial geotechnical review, aiding in the project's Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).

An aerial LiDAR scan, essential for infrastructure planning, has been completed. Additionally, the company is conducting ore off-take studies to explore optimal destinations for sorted ore under a direct-to-smelter scenario. To streamline environmental reviews, Grande Portage has engaged NEPA consultant Ensight LLC with extensive experience in similar projects.

In collaboration with state and federal entities, the company aims to expedite permitting through Alaska’s FAST-41 program. The project envisions an underground mining operation close to existing infrastructure, with third-party off-site processing.
