Grande Portage Resources Launches Geochemical Program for New Amalga Project

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. has commenced a comprehensive Geochemical Characterization Program for its New Amalga Gold property in Southeast Alaska. This initiative aims to advance permitting processes, crucial for project progression. The program involves testing diverse rock samples from different areas marked for extraction in the mine plan.

The focus is on determining the potential of rocks to generate acid and release metals over time. Previous tests indicated favourable results, and the current extensive testing, conducted by SGS North America under Stantec's guidance, seeks to affirm these findings.

Moreover, the project will experiment with creating cemented rock fill (CRF) from New Amalga material to enhance underground mining operations. The aim is to assess the backfill's strength and optimize cement content, crucial for mining support. These activities align with Grande Portage's strategic blueprint, which minimizes environmental impact and aids regulatory approvals.
