Grenke and Intesa Sanpaolo Forge Strategic Partnership in Italy

grenke AG, a leader in small-ticket leasing, has formed a strategic partnership with Italy’s largest bank, INTESA SANPAOLO S.p.A. The collaboration aims to enhance services in the Italian operating lease market. Intesa Sanpaolo’s subsidiary, Rent ForYou S.p.A., will integrate fully into grenke Locazione, grenke’s Italian branch, by mid-2025. In return, Intesa Sanpaolo will secure a 17% stake in grenke Locazione.

This partnership promises collaboration through Intesa's extensive branch network, which includes around 1.2 million business customers. Both firms will jointly handle refinancing for future ventures. The partnership is pending approval from relevant authorities and is expected to complete by Q1 2025. The cooperation targets growth and increased market share while maintaining grenke’s focus on small-ticket leasing.
