Hach Launches Advanced Sensor for Sludge Measurement in Wastewater

Hach has unveiled its latest innovation, the Hach TS Sensor by Valmet, designed to enhance the measurement of total solids in wastewater sludge. This microwave-based technology promises stable, continuous monitoring even in challenging conditions, benefiting treatment plants in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

With decades of expertise in microwave measurement, Hach's new sensor provides reliable data across a wide range of sludge types, enabling better process control and reducing chemical usage. It complements Hach’s existing optical products, offering flexibility for various wastewater applications, including primary sludge monitoring and dewatering feed control.

This launch signifies Hach's commitment to improving sludge handling and meeting evolving regulatory demands in European wastewater facilities. Nicole Puhl, Vice President at Hach, emphasized the importance of the new sensor in enhancing efficiency and control in challenging conditions.
