H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm, has partnered with Barts Health NHS Trust to deliver the first applied healthcare innovation building within the Barts Life Sciences Cluster in London. This development marks a significant collaboration between healthcare professionals and industry, aiming to foster innovation in MedTech, AI, and digital health.
The 170,000 sq ft Cavell Street project will serve as a hub for NHS-industry collaboration, enabling companies to work closely with Barts Health clinicians in real clinical settings. The partnership seeks to accelerate healthcare innovation and enhance the UK's capabilities in NHS-embedded advancements.
Shane DeGaris of Barts Health indicated that this partnership will bring together clinicians, patients, and academia to improve patient outcomes and drive economic growth in East London.
