Hillcrest Energy Technologies Finalizes ZVS PCS1000 Design for AI Data Centers

Hillcrest Energy Technologies Ltd. has completed the A-Sample design of its ZVS PCS1000 Grid Power Conversion System. This 250 kW, 800V DC sidecar rectifier module is tailored for next-gen AI data center infrastructure. The design’s finalization is a vital engineering step, affirming the product's architecture and performance standards. Prototype demonstrations are set for June 2026.

The ZVS PCS1000 supports an 800V data center sidecar architecture, converting 400/480V AC to 800V DC for IT racks. It incorporates features like N+1 redundancy and grid fault ride-through capability, ensuring continuous operation and stability during power disturbances.

Hillcrest’s Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) technology enhances efficiency, reducing electrical switching losses and improving EMI performance. The company plans to showcase the system’s capabilities with demonstrations in 2026, potentially leading to future partnerships.
