Centiel Acquires New Facility to Boost Growth

Centiel SA, a prominent provider of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment, has signed an agreement to purchase a new production facility in Muzzano, near Lugano, Switzerland. This move aligns with the company’s recent strategic plans to expand its infrastructure for future growth phases.

The facility acquisition, valued at CHF 12.1 million, will require additional investment to optimize it for production, office, and logistics purposes. Financing will be a mix of available cash and a bank loan. The facility offers 7,286 square meters of space, with options for further expansion.

Proximity to Lugano headquarters ensures close integration between engineering, operations, and production. Production is anticipated to begin in the first half of 2027. CEO Gerardo Lecuona emphasized the facility’s importance in achieving growth ambitions, particularly in the U.S. market.
