HKGXTS Announced in Hong Kong to Boost Gold Trading Infrastructure
The newly formed Hong Kong Gold Exchange Trading System Limited (HKGXTS) is a joint venture by Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX) and TGX Technology Limited. Aiming to enhance gold trading infrastructure, it leverages Hundsun Technologies and Alibaba Cloud for technical support.
Under the leadership of Dr. Haywood Cheung, HKGXTS convened its first Board meeting, outlining a roadmap for advancing gold trading and clearing capabilities. The platform will initially integrate existing HKGX services and launch pilot operations in early 2027. It also plans to incorporate digital services, including those supporting gold tokenization.
HKGXTS seeks to establish a multi-tier bullion platform, enhancing trading efficiency and reducing costs. It aligns with Hong Kong's strategy to become an international gold trading hub.
