HOPIUM and MOTA join forces for maritime hydrogen solutions

HOPIUM and MOTA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop an integrated seawater cooling architecture for hydrogen fuel cell systems intended for marine applications. This collaboration is part of HOPIUM's diversification strategy, supported by its industrial partnerships. The partnership is based on complementary expertise: MOTA is an expert in heat exchangers for marine environments, while HOPIUM brings its know-how in hydrogen fuel cell systems.

The initial trials will focus on a jointly developed demonstrator, with a target test duration of 300 hours. This phase aims to assess technological compatibility and finalize the cooling architecture. This Franco-French alliance marks a decisive step towards offering low-carbon solutions in the maritime sector in anticipation of future commercialization.
