Positive Growth for HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft in H1 2025
HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH reported a strong performance in the first half of 2025. The Berlin-based company saw rental and lease revenue rise by 11% to EUR 224.2 million, attributed to rent adjustments and growth in new builds. The adjusted EBITDA for the residential segment increased by 16% to EUR 158.6 million.
As of June 30, 2025, HOWOGE owned approximately 82,150 apartments, with a net addition of 545 residential units. The portfolio's fair value rose by EUR 300 million, totaling EUR 14.5 billion. The loan-to-value ratio reached 31.6%, influenced by debt-financed acquisitions from 2024.
HOWOGE emphasizes sustainable growth, expanding its social bond by EUR 200 million and investing in climate-friendly technologies. It completed a pilot project in Berlin-Lichtenberg and aims to expand its solar capacity significantly by 2033. Looking forward, HOWOGE expects to meet its FFO forecast of EUR 180-200 million for the full year.
