Huawei Launches Grid-Interactive AIDC Strategy

Huawei Digital Power has unveiled its grid-interactive AI data center (AIDC) strategy at the 2026 Global AIDC Industry Summit in Dongguan. The event, held on May 15, gathered nearly 1,000 industry leaders. Keynote speaker Hou Jinlong, Huawei's Director of the Board and President of Huawei Digital Power, highlighted the synergy between computing and electricity in advancing AI infrastructure.

The strategy features "3+1" innovations focusing on Watt, Heat, Bit, and Construction innovations. Huawei aims to address challenges with power density and reliability through these innovations, utilizing diverse power supply architectures and AI-enhanced thermal management systems.

Bob He, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power, introduced the TokEnergy Index to evaluate energy conversion into computing power, shifting from traditional energy efficiency metrics. Huawei aims to lead AIDC industry transformation, emphasizing green energy and cost-efficient tokens per watt.
