Huawei and SJTU Launch Global Intelligent Education Showcase
On September 25, 2025, during HUAWEI CONNECT 2025 in Shanghai, Huawei and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) unveiled a global showcase for intelligent education and research. Central to this initiative is "Zhiyuan-1," the largest AI computing platform among Chinese universities, which has been integrated into SJTU's computing service system, "Jiaowosuan." This integration aims to enhance access to AI resources for faculty and students.
Li Peng from Huawei emphasized that combining AI and big data with education is crucial for innovation and talent cultivation globally. This initiative marks a step towards addressing the gap in interdisciplinary talent needs through AI-powered practical training, setting new benchmarks in higher education.
The project advances AI+HI in teaching and supports Computing+X in research, aiming to foster a world-class AI ecosystem. Huawei plans continued collaboration with global partners to drive digital transformation in education.
