Huawei's OceanStor Dorado Receives Technical Validation

At MWC Barcelona 2026, the Enterprise Strategy Group, now part of Omdia, released a report validating Huawei's latest OceanStor Dorado Converged All-Flash Storage. The report highlights the rapid growth of enterprise data in the AI era, stressing the need for robust storage solutions. Despite many vendors offering all-flash solutions, balancing performance, reliability, and cost remains challenging.

The evaluation praised Huawei's storage for its high performance, resilience, and optimal total cost of ownership (TCO). Tests showed that the system achieves over 876,256 IOPS with a response time of 32 μs, accommodating diverse data types. Features like the SmartMatrix architecture and FlashEver ensure seamless operations and data protection.

The system's TCO analysis suggests a reduction of up to 64% over traditional hybrid storage, offering significant savings. Huawei's leadership in storage technology is reaffirmed through these advancements.
