HRS, Toyota, and ENGIE Progress in Hydrogen Refueling Technology
On January 26, 2026, HRS announced a key advancement in their partnership with Toyota Motor Europe and ENGIE Lab CRIGEN. The collaboration focuses on the Mid Flow Twin (MFT) hydrogen refueling technology, designed to reduce refueling times for both heavy and light vehicles.
HRS successfully integrated MFT components into a hydrogen refueling dispenser, marking a step towards industrialization. This development will undergo further testing at HRS's facility in Champagnier, Isère. A demonstration of the technology will take place on January 27 at the Hyvolution Paris event.
MFT technology's dual-nozzle system addresses increased hydrogen usage and aligns with European AFIR regulations. The partnership highlights industry leaders' commitment to high-performance, economically viable h ydrogen solutions aiding the energy transition.
