IKEA's Significant Investment to Reduce Prices Across Europe

IKEA has announced a major investment aimed at making home furnishing more affordable across Europe. As consumers face increasing living costs, the Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, along with other franchisees and Inter IKEA Group, are committing EUR 1.2 billion to reduce prices. This initiative is part of IKEA's long-term strategy to offer affordable and sustainable home furnishing options.

The price cuts will take effect from September 1, 2026, focusing on popular products like the KALLAX storage and the POÄNG armchair. Price reductions will vary between 15% and 25%, depending on the market. In Germany, over 1,500 items will see an average price drop of 20%, while in the UK, iconic items like the BILLY bookcase will be reduced by 28%. In Italy, products will see an average price cut of 22%, reinforcing IKEA's commitment to affordability.

Beyond Europe, Ingka Group will invest EUR 70 million to mitigate inflation and currency impacts in Asia and North America, ensuring global affordability.
