Aliko Scientific and BioBrasil Form Joint Venture for FISH Probes
Aliko Scientific has announced a Memorandum of Understanding with BioBrasil to create a joint venture in Brazil, focusing on manufacturing FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) probes. This initiative is aimed at serving global diagnostic markets and strengthening Aliko Scientific's recurring revenue model through an "instrument + probes" strategy.
The joint venture will be majority-owned by Aliko Scientific Brasil Ltda at 51%, and 49% by BioBrasil. This collaboration leverages BioBrasil's robust manufacturing capabilities and regulatory expertise. A commercial launch is planned within nine months, expediting market entry by utilizing BioBrasil's infrastructure.
Aliko Scientific's CEO, Francesco Trisolini, highlighted the importance of this agreement in enhancing revenue visibility and long-term profitability. Governance will include representatives from both companies to oversee the business and technical operations.
