HENSOLDT Evaluates Impact of F126 Programme Termination

HENSOLDT, a defense technology provider, is currently evaluating the impact of the German Ministry of Defence's decision to terminate the F126 frigate programme. Instead, the Ministry will focus on procuring MEKO A-200-class frigates, pending the German Bundestag's Budget Committee approval. The company is assessing contract implications and coordinating closely with its partner, Thales Netherlands.

HENSOLDT supplied the TRS-4D maritime surveillance radar for the F126. This technology, part of a well-established product family, has been utilized on German Navy vessels and international projects, including Brazilian frigates. The F126 contract was valued at over 200 million euros, with over a third already recognized as revenue.

The company anticipates no short- or medium-term forecast changes. HENSOLDT is poised to contribute to modernizing the German Navy, engaging in discussions with shipyards and customers.
