The Deputy Prime Minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, emphasized the need to treat water as a vital resource, stressing strategic partnerships and cohesive policy actions.

Malaysia has made significant reforms in water management, shifting from fragmented governance to cohesive federal-state cooperation. Key efforts include smart water management, private sector collaboration, and climate change preparedness. The country's transformation includes accelerating technology in water management and creating policies for private sector involvement.

Indah Water Konsortium CEO Narendran Maniam highlighted resource recovery as essential, focusing on sustainability, adapting the utilities landscape, and financial sustainability. He urged collaboration through transparent tenders, signifying Malaysia’s readiness to embrace sustainable water solutions.
