Karbon-X Achieves Key Milestone in Senegal Mangrove Restoration

Karbon-X Corp. has announced a major achievement in its ABC Mangrove Project in Senegal. In partnership with Woodside Energy, the company has completed planting across over 7,000 hectares of mangroves along the Senegalese coast, marking one of West Africa's largest community-led restoration initiatives.

The project, developed by Karbon-X's arm ALLCOT, aims to restore blue-carbon ecosystems vital for biodiversity and carbon sequestration. This initiative has involved thousands from local communities, creating jobs and providing training, especially for women and youth.

CEO Chad Clovis emphasizes the project's impact, highlighting its role in carbon reductions—estimated at 71,548 tonnes annually—and its contribution to global sustainability goals. The project aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty reduction and climate action.
