EcoGraf Partners with GTK and Betolar on Sustainable Tailings Initiative

EcoGraf Limited has announced a significant partnership with the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) and Betolar Plc through a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding. The collaboration aims to explore the utilization of mineral tailings for producing low-carbon construction materials. This initiative aligns with the EU and Finnish circular economy objectives.

GTK brings extensive expertise in mine tailings management to advance the project. Betolar specializes in turning industrial waste into eco-friendly materials, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions with their Geoprime® technology. This aligns with EcoGraf's sustainability goals, focusing on responsible resource development and environmental impact reduction.

EcoGraf projects an average production of 0.9 million tonnes of tailings annually from the Epanko Graphite Project. The collaboration seeks grant funding to assess the technical and commercial feasibility of converting these tailings into value-added building products.
