EcoGraf Secures Second Australian Patent for HFfree® Technology

EcoGraf Limited has announced the granting of a second Australian patent for its HFfree® purification technology by IP Australia. This patent, numbered 2022387279, provides extensive protection for EcoGraf’s HFfree® purification flowsheet. The certification of registration was received on May 6, 2025, extending the patent's term until November 11, 2042.

The patent covers diverse applications of EcoGraf’s technology, including battery anode material manufacture, high purity graphite products, and lithium-ion battery anode recycling. This development supports EcoGraf’s vertically integrated business focused on producing environmentally sustainable, high purity graphite products in Tanzania and establishing new purification facilities in key global markets.
