Kumulus Vape denounces the media distortion of the ANSES report on vaping
Kumulus Vape, a major player in the distribution of vaping products in France, has reacted to media coverage of the ANSES report published on February 4, 2026. The group criticizes the media for misrepresenting the agency's scientific findings. The ANSES report concludes that the effects of vaping are not as serious as those of tobacco, highlighting the absence of combustion as a major advantage.
Despite this, the media have often used alarmist headlines. Kumulus Vape points out that ANSES (the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety) has classified the potential effects of vaping at the "Possible" level of evidence, much less certain than the "Proven" effects of tobacco. Furthermore, the report specifies that no evidence of tumor development has been observed in e-cigarette users.
Kumulus Vape plans to contact ARCOM in response to these media interpretations, in order to restore information faithful to the scientific conclusions.
