Holcim Concludes Nigeria Business Divestment
Holcim has finalized the sale of its 83.81% stake in Lafarge Africa PLC to Huaxin Cement, valuing the equity at USD 1 billion overall before adjustments. The transaction marks Holcim's complete exit from its Nigerian operations.
Martin Kriegner, Regional Head for Asia, Middle East & Africa, expressed satisfaction with the deal, noting Huaxin Cement as a reliable partner poised to advance the business in Nigeria. Kriegner highlighted that the proceeds enhance Holcim's capacity for growth-centric capital allocation. He extended best wishes to Lafarge Africa PLC and Huaxin Cement.
