Holcim Expands Operations in Colombia

Holcim has announced an acquisition deal to enhance its presence in Colombia by purchasing building materials and solutions operations from Cemex. This move is projected to bring Holcim net sales of approximately USD 360 million by 2026. The acquisition, part of Holcim's NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, aims to strengthen its foothold in the Latin American market through strategic expansion.

This acquisition will significantly increase Holcim's capacity in Colombia by adding over 20 production sites, including cement, ready-mix concrete, and aggregates facilities. The integration will complement Holcim's existing infrastructure in the region and is expected to generate USD 30 million in EBITDA synergies by its third year.

Valued at USD 485 million, the transaction promises to be earnings per share (EPS) accretive from the first year, aligning with Holcim's financial discipline. Subject to regulatory approval, the deal is anticipated to close by the year's end.
