Lam Research and CEA-Leti Strengthen Collaboration for Advanced Technology Fabrication

Lam Research Corporation and CEA-Leti have announced a multi-year agreement to accelerate the development of Specialty Technology devices. The partnership will focus on exploring new materials and processes for energy-efficient semiconductor devices. This collaboration aims to advance micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), 3D imaging, and photonics, among others.

By leveraging CEA-Leti's expertise in device characterization, Lam Research intends to overcome engineering challenges and optimize fabrication solutions for AI and high-performance computing. This agreement builds on a history of successful projects, including recent developments in pulsed plasma technologies.

The collaboration is seen as a strategic step towards rapid characterization and integration of new materials, which is crucial for advancing future generations of Specialty Technology devices.
