LION E-Mobility AG Secures Battery System Development Order

LION E-Mobility AG, a manufacturer of battery packs for electric mobility, announced a new development order. Their subsidiary, LION Smart GmbH, has been tasked with a feasibility study by a premium European OEM to create a fast-charging battery system for electric trucks. The goal is to enable charging up to 450 kilometers within 15 minutes, leveraging up to 3 megawatts of power.

The battery system design includes an immersion-cooled high-performance battery with an integrated management system, enhancing safety and performance. This order highlights confidence in LION's technological capabilities and supports the expansion of efficient electromobility in the heavy-duty sector. The initiative strengthens LION's position in the European commercial vehicle market and signifies a key strategic milestone.
