Loop Industries Launches Twist™: A Sustainable Polyester Resin Brand
Loop Industries has launched Twist™, a branded polyester resin made entirely from textile waste. This resin offers virgin-quality suitable for fashion and textiles, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. Twist™ utilizes Loop's patented depolymerization technology, breaking down textile waste into its base monomers, ensuring high purity and compatibility with existing manufacturing processes.
Twist™ demonstrates a reduced environmental footprint with up to 81% fewer greenhouse gas emissions. The production process has been independently validated, equating CO₂ savings to over a billion miles driven by a gasoline vehicle.
Twist™ offers full traceability from waste input to product, using embedded chemical tracers, thus supporting textile industry's move towards circularity. Production will expand to Loop's India facility, providing competitive pricing and promoting sustainable practices globally.
