Mercialys Acquires the Saint-Genis 2 Shopping Center

On June 10, 2025, Mercialys announced the acquisition of the Saint-Genis 2 shopping center, located in western Lyon. This €146 million investment is part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in dynamic areas of France. The catchment area of this region has 700,000 residents, including high-income households, positioning Lyon as the second-largest consumer market after Paris.

Saint-Genis 2, recently renovated for €45 million, includes nearly 100 diverse brands and is home to one of the Auchan group's most successful hypermarkets. This center is the largest in western Lyon, offering additional potential for optimizing and consolidating the retail mix, in line with Mercialys standards.

This acquisition allows Mercialys to consolidate its position as a key player in the shopping center sector in France. The transaction was supported by several partners for tax, technical, and financial aspects.
