Mutares Acquires Continental Drum Brake Site in Italy
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has signed an agreement with Continental to acquire its drum brake manufacturing and R&D site in Cairo Montenotte, Italy. The site includes all employees and business activities. This acquisition aims to enhance Mutares’ Automotive & Mobility segment. The deal is set to conclude by the fourth quarter of 2025, pending customary approvals.
Continental's location produces hydraulic drum brakes and related products, with an expected revenue of EUR 100 million in 2025 and about 400 employees. The transaction aligns with Continental's strategy to focus on core business areas and technological advancements.
