Mutares to Acquire NBHX Trim Europe
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA announced its agreement to acquire NBHX Trim Europe from Ningbo Lawrence Automotive Interiors Co., Ltd. This acquisition is part of Mutares' strategy to enhance its Automotive & Mobility segment by adding to the Matikon Group within Amaneos.
NBHX Trim Europe specializes in decorative surfaces for automotive interiors, generating approximately EUR 200 million in revenue during 2024. The company operates in Germany, Romania, and the UK with around 2,000 employees. This transaction, pending customary approvals including those from China, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025.
The Chief Investment Officer of Mutares, Johannes Laumann, indicates that the acquisition could unlock significant synergies, leveraging Mutares' operational capacities in the automotive interiors market.
