Mutares to Acquire Sweden's M3 Group

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has signed an agreement to acquire Sweden's M3 Group, comprising M3 Schakt AB, M3 Rental AB, and Schaktförmedlingen Sverige AB. This acquisition is aimed at expanding Mutares' infrastructure and construction segment in Nordic markets. M3 Group is a provider of transportation infrastructure and machine rental services to large construction companies, with revenues of approximately EUR 35 million in 2024. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, pending customary approvals.

For GDL Anläggning & Miljö, the acquisition promises strategic synergies and geographical expansion. M3 Group has approximately 44 employees and a strong subcontractor network. Mutares' Chief Investment Officer, Johannes Laumann, highlighted the acquisition as a strategic milestone, enhancing its presence in the Nordics and boosting its portfolio with M3 Group's expertise in infrastructure projects like subways, roads, and railways.
