Brookfield Acquires Majority Stake in Neoen
Brookfield has completed the acquisition of a 53.12% stake in Neoen from Impala and others at €39.85 per share. This follows regulatory approvals. Brookfield plans a cash tender for remaining shares, valuing OCEANEs 2020 and 2022 at €48.14 and €101,382, respectively.
Neoen's Board recommends shareholders accept the offer, with an agreement from Bpifrance to tender their 4.36% holding. Brookfield aims for a squeeze-out post-tender. Neoen board members from Impala and FSP resigned, replaced by Brookfield's nominees.
The deal ends Impala's role, with Jacques Veyrat expressing pride in Neoen's evolution. Neoen’s leadership looks forward to growth under Brookfield, supported by their capital and expertise.
The transaction is a step towards delisting Neoen, enhancing its renewable energy focus globally.
