Neoen Begins Construction of Solar and Wind Projects in France
Neoen, a leading French renewable energy producer, has launched the construction of three solar farms and a wind farm in France, totaling a capacity of 101 MW. This move further strengthens Neoen's energy portfolio in the country, now surpassing 2.5 GW.
The BA 217 Solar Farm, with a capacity of 41 MWp, will be the largest in Île-de-France. Located at the Bretigny-sur-Orge military base, it forms part of the "Place au Soleil" initiative. Two agrisolar farms, Saint-Just (30 MWp) in Cher and La Ferme des Cros (16 MWp) in Charente, will integrate sheep farming with solar energy.
The Moulin à Vent Wind Farm in Haute-Vienne, set to generate 28.5 GWh annually, will serve around 12,000 people. Neoen has appointed Vestas, Atlas Fondations, and Colas for its construction.
These projects, expected to be operational by 2028, underline Neoen's commitment to France's energy transition.
