Nexans wins new major project with TenneT

Nexans has announced a strengthening of its partnership with TenneT through the LanWin2 project, worth €1 billion. This project consists of the design and implementation of 250 km of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cables with XLPE technology. It is part of the framework agreement signed between the two entities in May 2023. The objective is to transmit 2 GW of wind energy from the German North Sea to the continent, with commissioning planned for 2030.

This development secures Nexans’ position as a leader in the European offshore wind sector, adding to the previously established projects for the BalWin3 and LanWin4 links.
