NioCorp's Elk Creek Project Receives Boost from Congressman Adrian Smith

In a significant development for NioCorp Developments Ltd., Congressman Adrian Smith participated in the initiation of excavation for the Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project's mine portal in Southeast Nebraska. The project aims to solidify Nebraska's position in critical mineral supply chains, with the anticipated creation of over 400 jobs and about $600 million in local and state tax revenue.

Smith's involvement underscores his support for initiatives that enhance domestic critical mineral production. As a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Smith has previously introduced legislation to benefit U.S. rare earth producers, aligning with NioCorp's objectives at Elk Creek. The portal construction, executed by Gana Trucking and Excavating, marks a significant phase for the project, which targets the production of niobium, scandium, titanium, and magnetic rare earths.
