Nordex Group Secures 56 MW Order for German Community Wind Farm
The Nordex Group has been awarded a contract from Bürgerwindpark BHU Betriebs GmbH & Co. KG for the installation of eight N163/6.X wind turbines. These turbines, featuring 118-meter tubular steel towers, will contribute to a 56 MW capacity at the Bosbüll Holm Uphusum (BHU) community wind farm. This farm spans three villages in Schleswig-Holstein's North Frisia region. The contract includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement, ensuring high technical availability of the turbines.
Scheduled for installation in early 2027, the turbines are expected to be operational by fall of the same year. The wind farm will operate in a 7 MW mode, maximizing energy output in this windy area. Schleswig-Holstein is a leader in community wind farms, providing residents with investment and decision-making opportunities, while generating tax revenue and supporting local projects.
Karsten Brüggemann from Nordex emphasized the project’s role in advancing Germany's energy transition, enhancing local value creation alongside climate-friendly energy production.
